a normal day farming, a vaudeville advertisement, California Gold Rush, children leave school young, early 20th Century, farming, industrial revolution, inside a textile mill, jobs a hundred years ago, jobs and careers in 1912, jobs disappeared with time, large families still existed, late 19th Century, laying railroad track, mining, New York City's Golden Palace Theatre, not have current day machinery, railroad, railroad opened in America in 1830, textile mills, The Palace, vaudeville, vaudeville had a variety of acts, women go to work in the weaving room, work on the farm and have own chores
