7 Ways to Write your own story for future prosperity

Do you wish an ancestor had left behind journals, a diary or their autobiography?

There are many ancestors I wish had done just that, but they did not.

Write your story

We cannot change the past, but we can change the present.

We can provide for the future generations, the very thing we wished the past generation left for us.  An account of our lives.

If you keep a daily or weekly journal or diary, this will be much easier to do.

However, it is never too late to start.

Take the time to write your life story.  Even if it seems boring to you, it may not be to your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and future generations.

Don’t know where to start?

What legacy will you leave?
  1. Start with the basics. Provide the simple details such as when and where born and who your parents were.
  2. Share stories. Go back in time and share stories from your childhood, when you met your spouse and the first time you held your children.
  3. Share lessons you have learned and how an experience changed or taught you.
  4. Don’t be afraid to share the hard memories or times. You never know what lessons this may teach with the other generations.
  5. Share memories of times gone by. Using an electric typewriter or rotary phone may seem antiquated, but they are a testimony of the time.  Mentioning them makes them real, where future generations may only know about these items from a museum.
  6. Include label pictures so future generations will know who past generations are.
  7. Be honest, open and yourself. Put your own personality and style into the storytelling.  Allow your true self to shine through.

So, now is the time to take and write your own story for future prosperity.

Have you written your own story?  Why not start now?
