In genealogy it is very easy to go chasing rabbit trails.
So what does this mean?
For example, last weekend I went to the library looking for obituaries on a specific family to further my research.
However, reading one of the obituaries, I noticed a familiar surname from another line. Of course, I had to explore this connection. I went chasing the rabbit trail to discover the connection in this family.
There are numerous reasons we may go chasing a rabbit trail, or veer off of the line or course we are currently working on. The fun part is chasing those trails and discovering the journey and new finds.
