Charting a move

posted in: Family History, Genealogy | 0

I have been in the process of moving and it made me think about genealogy research.

I have moved so much that I actually keep a list of all of the places where I have lived.

However, what about discovering where our ancestors lived?

There are several ways to do this.

  1. Start with census records. This gives an idea where they lived every ten years.
  2. From there you can check any letters or cards that may have been passed down.
  3. Check pictures for houses and addresses of where your ancestors may have lived
  4. Check city directories for the exact address of where your ancestor lived.

Have you charted an ancestors move?
